Love,Hotels and Helicopters!!

A Balancing Kind of Love - Book Review

Love ,Hotels and Helicopters

A Balancing Kind of Love is book 2 in The Love Is Crystal Clear Trilogy by Joanna Cates. The book can be read as a stand-alone novel without reading others in the series.

The Story follows Career girl Kirsty Young, who decides she’s want to settle down, marry and have a family, and hotel chain boss Max,who also feels that he wants to settle down. Both characters have never met until chance meeting at an airport.

My favourite character is Kirsty, and I was routing for her to get her happy ending from the start.Another character I loved was Max’s mum Margot,I’d love for Margot to get her happy ending after all she has been through.

All the characters are well developed and fit well within the story. My favourite part of the book was the ending,it was such a fitting ending to a fabulously written love story.

I found nothing to dislike about this book and I

read other books in the series.I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Bridget Jones, and for anyone who loves romantic fiction

Bookworm rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fate,Love and Magazines!!

Fate,Love and Magazines!! Love by Design by Effie Kammenou Love by Design is book 2 in the Meraki Series.Although this book is in a series it can be read as a standalone novel. The book focuses on Mia Andarakis ,who has recently been promoted to work on a new magazine called Opul, and her relationship with magazine editor Nicholas Aristedis. My favourite characters were Mia and Nicholas, the characters were very well rounded and I really felt both characters as they had both gone through trauma in their lives. I loved the twist in the middle of the book which connected the lives of Mia and Nicholas,as well as the flashback chapters concerning what had made them the people they had become. I think the scenes written around Nicholas’s grief were well written, and grief can totally destroy you and I really felt for Nicholas. The book was a brilliant piece of romantic escapism, yet tackled some really difficult issues with some harrowing scenes. There wasn’t one thing I disliked about th...

New Idea,A New Job and A New Romance!!

A New Dawn Over Mulberry Lane by Rosie Clarke   New Ideas,A New Job and A New Romance!! A New Dawn Over Mulberry Lane is Book 8 in the Mulberry Lane Series, this book can be read as a standalone novel. This story focuses on Dr Shirley,Maggie,Freddie,Fay and Jon,Peggy and Maureen’s Children and grandchildren. My favourite character are Maggie and Freddie, they both seem to know what they want from life and want to work hard to get it.All the characters are very believable and like the fact the author has continued the story of Mulberry Lane now using the younger characters. The only character I took a dislike to was Jon,I thought he was quite devious even though he was only a child My favourite storyline in the book was involving Dr Shirley her career,I’m looking forward to reading further books to see her story continue All the characters featured prominently in the book with their own storylines entwined together. I didn’t find anything about this book disagreeable, both the sto...

Rebellion,Corruption and the Coalies!!

The Stranded -By Sarah Daniels Rebellion,Corruption and the Coalies!! The Stranded by Sarah Daniels is a standalone futuristic novel set in 2094.The story set aboard the Arcadia ship, where passengers have been stranded for years due to fears of a deadly virus. My favourite character are Esther and May Crossland, they are both strong female’s who stand up for what they believe in. All the characters felt real and you have real empathy for the passengers on the ship. My favourite scene is when Esther decides to help the rebellion and finally everyone realises she is more like her sister May then they realised. The book had me gripped from the beginning and I was rooting for the rebellion to succeed . Despite not being a genre I usually read,I absolutely loved this book.it was fast paced and kept my interest the whole way through.A real page turner This book is listed as a young adult but is suitable for the general adult market too and would appeal to anyone who likes futuristic boo...
