Dance Steps,Fake Tan and Glitter!

This is the first book in the Strictly Come Dancing series, and as each book focuses on different series they can be read out of order. The book is a behind the scenes look at the show,as well as giving you information on some of the contestants and professional dancers.  I really enjoyed the behind the scenes features in the book, particularly the pieces about the costumes and make up,and also the history behind the dances.  I didn’t feel the pages of dance steps were necessary as they were difficult to follow, but these things would however be interesting to watch as you could see how they were done visually,so maybe a dvd with the book would have been a better idea. All in all I found the book very interesting, and would recommend it to fans of the show or fans of ballroom and Latin dancing. Bookworm rating  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Orange Grove by Rosanna Ley-Book Review

Sun,Sea,Sand and Marmalade! The Orange Grove is a stand alone novel by Rosanna Ley.The story centres around Holly and her parents Ella and Felix.Holly decided to set up her own business and goes on a business trip to Seville with her mum to source products, and in just a few days Holly’s life is changed forever. The book is written in flashback form, going between Holly’s adventures in Seville and,Ella’s time there years before. All the characters in the book are well rounded and believable, but my favourite character was Ella.I really loved her story, and I liked the plot twist towards the end of the book. My favourite part of the book was the chapters written in flash back form, they complimented the modern day story perfectly. There is a slight unfinished thread to the story in last few pages and I would love to know what happened next.I think there could be room for another book telling that story possibly. This book overall is a great piece of escapist fiction, perfect for taking on h

Looking Good Dead by Peter James book review

Murder,Kidnap and the Scarab Beetle  This is the second book in the Detective Roy Grace Book Series. This book centres around Tom and Kelly Bryce, and when Tom innocently finds a cd on the train and takes it hope to view its contents it triggers a whole train of events.   I really felt drawn to the main detective Roy Grace,as there is a sub plot running through the books about his life.I got the impression he really cares about his colleague, and the cases he investigates.   The story has a really great twist towards the end of the book, with I didn’t see coming, and I found the book moved a really fast pace.  I found the main theme of the crime interesting although a little disturbing.  I would definitely recommend this book to fans of crime fiction, and I am definitely going to read other books in series.
