Snow Fall,Family Revelations and a hint of Romance(Friends and Neighbours -Christmas Reunions Book Review)

Friends and Neighbours-Christmas Reunions -Book Review  Snowfall,Family Revelations and a hint of Romance!! Friends and Neighbours-Christmas Reunions is    the second book in the Friend’s and Neighbours series by Ruth Torjussen. The book can however be read as a stand-alone novel. The novel centres around the lives and loves of the residents in a street in Stoke. My favourite characters were Jenny and Hannah.Jenny was the matriarch of the street and I found her character really relatable.I also like Hannah as was rooting for her to meet the man of her dreams. My favourite part of the book was the strand in the story involving Polly and her family. I also like that the book is set slightly in the future, and makes you think what life will be like if the climate continues to decline. Initially I wasn’t sure whether this book would be for me as the book was based around climate change, but it deals with issue in a way that makes you think of what life is going to be like if people don’t act

Pollination, Germination and a Seedling!!

Love and Pollination by Mari J Law Review  Pollination,Germination and a Seedling!! Love and Pollination is a stand-alone novel,by Mari J Law.The story follows the fabulous Perdita and her many embarrassing situations in the pursuit of love and happiness. I absolutely loved the character of Perdita, her character was brilliantly well written and I was totally engrossed in her world.I loved the way she thought of things in the terms of nature,as it showed her naivety and innocence,in how she dealt with the world. All the characters were brilliant and by the end I felt I knew all of the characters really well. My favourite part of the book for me was the ending as I was so pleased for Perdita, but I also loved reading about the scrapes Perdita got in.I loved the germination incident.   I loved the way this book kept me laughing whilst rooting for the characters. There is not one thing I disliked about this book.I found it engaging, funny and written with lots of heart.Anyone who loves Bridg

Labyrinth of Lies -Book Review

Labyrinth of Lies -Book Review A Drugs Ring,A Murder and a hint of romance!! Labyrinth of Lies is the second novel in the Triple Threat Book series by Irene Hanson. This book would happily stand-alone as a separate read. The novel centres around two crimes, the bringing down of a drugs cartel and a murder enquiry about 2 local students. Both detective Cate Reilly and DEA agent Zeke Stone go undercover to crack the cases.  My favourite characters are Cate an Zeke.I love how they are committed to their jobs, but the undercurrent of their previous relationship still is prevalent. The whole story really drew me in from start to finish, and the twist towards the end of the book,I did not see coming at all.The twist was my favourite part of the book it was so unexpected, but at the same time tied everything together. The twist scenes were written so well as were the scenes between Cate and Zeke,I was rooting for them all the way through. All the characters were so believable. I have to say I trul

Huxley vs his parents, but who knows best!!

This Much Huxley Knows by Gail Aldwin - Review Huxley vs his parents, who knows best!! This book is a standalone novel written by Gail Aldwin. The story is told through the eyes of 7 year old Huxley. When Huxley means Leonard at the hairdresser,Huxley just sees him as a lonely man,but his parents have other ideas. My favourite character was Huxley,I loved his childhood innocence and how he views the world. All the characters are very well rounded and the reactions of the adults are sadly only too believable in this day and age. My favourite part of the book is when Huxley is proved right, and I loved the way the book gets the reader to think like a child and how differently children see things in the world  The only thing I struggled with in the book was when Huxley pronounces words wrong on purpose,i found it hard to relate to this part of the story, and didn’t quite understand the relevance of this, maybe this is just me and I couldn’t quite get into the brain of a 7 year old. I would def

Siggy the Dachshund,A Paper Bag and Sausages!!

Siggy Loves Sausages by Brian Frederick  Siggy loves Sausages is a children’s book for children between 5-8 years old.Siggy is a dachshund who lives in the magic hamlet of Hope in Somerset. One day Siggy see a bag flying through the air and sets about on an adventure to get the bag back to its owner. I really enjoyed this book,it was charming and magical and I loved Siggy the Sausage dog,and I think children will fall in love with him too. The book was really well written, and now when my pets are staring at nothing,I know they are talking to fairies. The illustrations are engaging and so is the cover.I cannot recommend this fabulous book enough, and think it is a brilliant book for all young children to read themselves or be to read as a bedtime story.I will be definitely buying this book for my cousins.I have also just read When Siggy met Phyllis(which is free from the authors website),and I’m looking forward to reading and buying further titles.
