The World of the West End,Broadway and a few Celebrities Along the Way!!

Namedropping in the Wings-by David Collison  -🎭Book Review 🎭

The World of the West End,Broadway a few celebrities along the way!!

Name Dropping in the wings is a stand alone non fiction book, delving in to the fascinating behind the scenes world of the theatre, through eyes of leading sound consultant David Collinson.

I am a huge fan the theatre and this was right up my street.Dealing with behind the scenes of some of the worlds biggest musicals and plays.

My favourite parts of the book were brilliant anecdotes about some of Britain’s biggest stars including David Niven,Judi Dench,Kenneth Williams and many more.I also loved reading about all wonderful musical the author has worked on over the years.

I loved the way book dealt with the successes and the flops in the theatre world, and not only concentrated on the theatre successes which a lot of books would have done.

I have nothing bad to say about this book and found totally entertaining from beginning to end.

This is perfect for any fans of the theatre, whether you a drama student or a theatre goer, this book would appeal to all.

Bookworm rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fate,Love and Magazines!!

Fate,Love and Magazines!! Love by Design by Effie Kammenou Love by Design is book 2 in the Meraki Series.Although this book is in a series it can be read as a standalone novel. The book focuses on Mia Andarakis ,who has recently been promoted to work on a new magazine called Opul, and her relationship with magazine editor Nicholas Aristedis. My favourite characters were Mia and Nicholas, the characters were very well rounded and I really felt both characters as they had both gone through trauma in their lives. I loved the twist in the middle of the book which connected the lives of Mia and Nicholas,as well as the flashback chapters concerning what had made them the people they had become. I think the scenes written around Nicholas’s grief were well written, and grief can totally destroy you and I really felt for Nicholas. The book was a brilliant piece of romantic escapism, yet tackled some really difficult issues with some harrowing scenes. There wasn’t one thing I disliked about th...

My favourite character was Merrin (Merry) Kellow, she was so believable and her story was brilliantly told.I also fiesty Bella,Merry’s best friend,I found her excitable nature infectious. My favourite part of the book was when Merry realised that Port Charles was her home and she didn’t need to be afraid of it. Part of the book made me laugh, and part of the book made me cry, which is the perfect combination.I loved reading the description of the stunning Cornish scenery.   The Stranded -By Sarah Daniels Rebellion,Corruption and the Coalies!! The Stranded by Sarah Daniels is a standalone futuristic novel set in 2094.The story set aboard the Arcadia ship, where passengers have been stranded for years due to fears of a deadly virus. My favourite character are Esther and May Crossland, they are both strong female’s who stand up for what they believe in. All the characters felt real and you have real empathy for the passengers on the ship. My favourite scene is when Esther decides to help the rebellion and finally everyone realises she is more like her sister May then they realised. The book had me gripped from the beginning and I was rooting for the rebellion to succeed . Despite not being a genre I usually read,I absolutely loved this book.it was fast paced and kept my interest the whole way through.A real page turner This book is listed as a young adult but is suitable for the general adult market too and would appeal to anyone who likes futuristic boo...
